Improve glomerular filtration rate (GFR)

"My GFR is back up to 36 [from 28]—amazing. My creatinine is down to 1.4, so I am exactly where I was before my surgery a year ago. It is very exciting and I don't think I could have done it without [my dietitian's]] help."

- DaVita Eat Smart Client

Lose weight

"The beautiful thing about this is I've lost 35 pounds since September and I continue to lose about half of a pound to a pound a week. It's consistently moving in the right direction so I am thrilled."

Get expert advice

"I knew if I had a question or was desperate to find something, I could contact [my dietitian] and get answers. I trust her expertise, unlike some of the stuff you read online. I knew when she told me something it was coming from a person with experience and expertise in the field and I trusted that."

- DaVita Eat Smart Client

Feel empowered

"It has expanded my horizon in being aware of what I can have and what I can't. It has given me the freedom to experiment a bit and broaden the diet beyond what I was doing in April [before DaVita Eat Smart]. I am very thankful that I happened to find [DaVita] Eat Smart."
